The Appraisal Company

We are a leading provider of real estate appraisals for the mortgage lending marketplace and individuals. The Appraisal Company was started by George D. Sheets in 1986 and is located in McPherson, Kansas.  The Appraisal Company has three appraisers with a combined experience of over 40 years to serve our clients needs.  

George has 30 years of experience and is a Certified General Appraiser in the State of Kansas.  He is qualified to complete Residential, Agricultural, and Commercial appraisals.  George is a member of the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers and holds the IFA designation.  He is also a member of the Sunflower KS Chapter NAIFA and was President 2003, 2004, 2005 and is the current Treasurer.  George is also an associate member of the Kansas Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.  George is also an Approved FHA appraiser and an Approved RD (Rural Development) appraiser.

James Nelson is a Licensed Appraiser in the State of Kansas.  James has 11 years of experience.  He is qualified to complete residential appraisals.  James is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Kansas.  James is also an approved FHA and a Rural Development appraiser.  James is currently working toward his Certified Residential License.

Steve Kruse is a Licensed Appraiser in the State of Kansas.  Steve has 6 years of experience.  He is qualified to complete residential appraisals.  He is currently working on completing the requirements to become a Certified General Appraiser, so he will be qualified to also complete Agricultural and Commercial appraisals.  Steve is a member of the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers and also a member of the Sunflower KS Chapter NAIFA.  He is also an associate member of the Kansas Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.  Steve currently completes agricultural and commercial appraisal assignments under the supervision of George and plans to complete all General License requirements by May 2009.
